[Book Blogger Hop] August 31 - September 6

Can't believe I'm going back to school this year, last year in junior high !! Anyways, here's the Book Blogger Hop held by Jen at Crazy For Books. The question this week is..

What is the one book or series you are dying to see turned into a movie or TV series ?

DIVERGENT. I'd love to see that. And of course City of Bones as well, which comes out next year !! HURRAY.

Top Ten Bookish Confessions

I saw a few fellow bloggers doing Top Ten Bookish Confessions and decided to do one myself.

Rick from The-Book-A-Week Project
Laura from Reading In Bed
Brie from Eat Books

I'm not sure if I can actually come up with ten, but I'll try my best! By the way, this isn't in any order, I suck at putting my thoughts in order. They just come to mind as a type.

1. I honestly don't know how people can just NOT read books. It's crazy!! I mean, why not seclude yourself for a few hours and go into a fictional world with fictional characters!?

2. When I REALLY REALLY LOVE a book, and I meet someone who doesn't, I try hard not to flinch.

3. I try to match my bookmarks to my books... is that weird?

4. I love taking the jackets off to see the inside, and I usually don't read with the jacket because it sort of gets in the way sometimes.

5. I always clean my hands before reading a book because I'm scared I'll get it dirty. This sounds more like an OCD confession rather than Bookish Confessions..

6. I judge a book by it's cover. It's pretty much what gets my attention BEFORE I read the the synopsis on the back.

7. I always smell books, new or old, they have they're own smell that I just LOVE. (Okay, now I just sound plain craaazy)

8. The only classic that I've read so far is Anne of Green Gables, but I haven't finished the series yet. I loved it though! HOWEVER, I don't think I'm the kind of person who will enjoy ALL classics, I prefer contemporaries. I've read a bit of Romeo and Juliet and sort of got bored of it.

9. Like Rick from The-Book-A-Week Project, I have such a short memory span. Sometimes, if a book isn't gripping or anything, by the end of the book, I don't even remember what happened in the beginning.

10. I follow a lot of blogs, but I only really READ like.. maybe.. half of them?

Woah, this summer went by fast !! It's almost time to get back to school. Anyways, here's the Book Blogger Hop held by Jen at Crazy For Books. This week's question is...

What is your favourite thing about blogging ?

Mainly just getting to interact with the other bloggers out there, and also that I have a way to record all the books out there. Also, I love participating in blog hops and readathons as well. Designing the blog is always fun!! (:

Hello everybody!! I can't believe summer is almost over, I'll be heading back to school soon so the activity on here might slow down a bit. I'm so excited though because my school librarian asked me to go help out before school started.. it should be sometime this week. I'll get to tell her about all the new books that came out, and the books that I read and loved, all sorts of things!!

I have to do a bit of homework and studying with piano-related stuff because I was procrastinating (reading) the whole summer. It's going to be a slow week but I really can't wait for The Rise of Nine!!

I hope everyone has a great week!! Happy reading!!

[Book Blogger Hop] August 17-23

The Book Blogger Hop is held by Jen at Crazy For Books. Each week a question is posted for bloggers to answer, and also to hop on to other blogs and check out their answers. This week's question is...

What is one genre you will never read ?

I'm not sure about the NEVER part, but I won't read it for fun. It'd probably have to be a book purely based on religion. I'm an atheist, and I'm not really into reading things like that. I don't mean to offend anyone out there, it's just something that I don't enjoy. Oh and probably erotica.. just not my thing!!

[Book Blogger Hop] August 10-16

The Book Blogger Hop is held over at Crazy For Books. Each week a question is posted for us bloggers to answer, and also to visit other blogs and see how they answered the question. This week's question is..

Who is your go-to author when you're in a reading rut ?

Hmm, that's a tough one. I usually just read a series that I loved, and I'm on a roll again. I'm not sure which author would be my go-to one, but I loved the Harry Potter series, Lorien Legacies, The Hush, Hush Saga, and both The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices.

[Tuesday To-Read] Issue 12

Tuesday To-Read is a feature on Escaping With Books. I have yet to make an icon, so bear with me. Anyways, it's purpose is to list all the books I want to read. It's quite self-explanatory.

"I won't tell anyone, Echo. I promise." Noah tucked a curl behind my ear. It had been so long since someone touched me like he did. Why did it have to be Noah Hutchins? His dark brown eyes shifted to my covered arms. "You didn't do that-did you? It was done to you?" No one ever asked that question. They stared. They whispered. They laughed. But they never asked.

So wrong for each other...and yet so right.

No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with "freaky" scars on her arms. Even Echo can't remember the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal. But when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo's world shifts in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common. And with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much impossible.Yet the crazy attraction between them refuses to go away. And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push the limits and what she'll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love again.

There has been so much hype around this book, time to see what it's all about !! When I get my hands on it anyways..

I'm typing up my review for Night Road, it should be up in a few days. I had such an emotional time with it, I couldn't even open the book without crying. I'm such a loser. I cried so much I couldn't see the page in front of me and my eyes were swollen. Kristin Hannah has just become one of my favourite authors.

[Book Blogger Hop] August 3-9

The Book Blogger Hop is held by Jen over at Crazy For Books. This week's question is...

When a book goes viral, do you rush out to read it, even if it's not your typical genre ?

I'm not sure, I don't have a specific genre that I always read. I just look around for something that I think I'll like. But the one book that went "viral" that I didn't read was Fifty Shades of Grey. Which I mentioned in an earlier Hop that I probably won't ever read.
