Tuesday To-Read #3

So, every Tuesday I'm going to be posting a book that has already been published that I want to read. This week, however is going to be different because I've decided to change it up a bit. I'll just be posting ONE book/series each week, but no worries, I'll always link back to the old ones as well. Every time I finish a book, The title of the book in the post will be crossed out. Hope there's no confusion with this change, but it's just because I don't want 400 to reads by the end of the year... too much that will end up piling over me. SO... this week's to-read:

Under The Never Sky by Veronica Rossi

Goodreads Summary:

Since she'd been on the outside, she'd survived an Aether storm, she'd had a knife held to her throat, and she'd seen men murdered. This was worse.

Exiled from her home, the enclosed city of Reverie, Aria knows her chances of surviving in the outer wasteland - known as The Death Shop - are slim. If the cannibals don't get her, the violent, electrified energy storms will. She's been taught that the very air she breathes can kill her. Then Aria meets an Outsider named Perry. He's wild - a savage - and her only hope of staying alive.

A hunter for his tribe in a merciless landscape, Perry views Aria as sheltered and fragile - everything he would expect from a Dweller. But he needs Aria's help too; she alone holds the key to his redemption. Opposites in nearly every way, Aria and Perry must accept each other to survive. Their unlikely alliance forges a bond that will determine the fate of all who live under the never sky.

I've seen a couple reviews about this book, and they were quite positive ones too. So that's it for this week, and like I said, only posting one. But here are the last two !! (:

Every Sunday I will be updating on things that happened the past week. Such as reviews and news, or posts.

Tuesday To Reads #2

Favourite Book Blogs

I don't have a post for this one, because I'm just going to post it here, but I'm going to be busy for the next few weeks. And I might only get one review up. As you can see, I didn't do any the past week, but that was because I couldn't get through the book quick enough and also because I was bummed out from my marks at school. Anyways, I have finals soon, so that's the reason I'm not going to be posting much reviews.

I wish I could do a few book hauls because:

1. I love having books, it gives me pride to see them on my shelf
2. I'll have much more reviews coming for you guys

But unfortunately, I can't because:

1. I'm 13, don't have a job and my mom will not just let me buy a lot of books at once.
2. I can't possibly finish that many when I have to study for finals

Maybe in the summer, I'll get a job... and I can read more anyways. I've also been planning to start watching Doctor Who again, because I've been blowing it off for months now... heh. That's it for this week, sorry, there's not much.

Favourite Book Blogs

In no particular order....

- Emily's Reading Room

This is one of my favourite blogs just because of the content. She posts "Blogger Confidential" posts, and basically it's to help other book bloggers because sometimes, we just wonder what others think about our blogs. I'm quite new to the community of book blogging, so this helps me out a lot. I'm still currently experimenting on how I should format my reviews, Sunday Updates, and Tuesday To-Reads, just bare with me. (: To Emily, I'm @leanne_y, enjoying your tweets (:

- Hippies, Beauty, and Books Oh My !

Another favourite would be this blog because of the way her reviews are formatted. She sections them off to "First Impressions", "First 50 Pages", "Characters & Plot" and "Final Thoughts". It just gives me more of an idea of how the book is, even before I read it. Not only that, she tells you about the author as well, and to me, it's pretty cool. Unlike me, she doesn't put spoilers into them, again, bare with me while I'm trying out new things.

- Book Twirps

Okay, this one is a special one. Book Twirps was the blog that inspired me to start blogging, like book blogging.. if that makes sense. I was just surfing around the internet looking for book giveaways and reviews, but the graphics and pictures on this just caught my eye. And at that moment, I just decided to try it out, to start blogging and posting up reviews and such. Book Twirps posts memes up quite often, so you won't be bored of it (: Thank you for inspiring me to start my own blog !

- Mundie Moms

If you don't know already, I'm a big fan of Cassie Clare, and this blog gives frequent teasers of Cassie's books. Also, it was one of the first blogs that I visited a lot, even before Book Twirps, but I wasn't inspired by this blog to create my own. Still, great blog, great reviews, GREAT STUFF.

I follow quite a few books blogs, but these ones are just my favourite ones. I love the content I get, and how I know what to read now, based on their reviews.

Sunday Updates #1

Hello ! I'm just going to update every Sunday of what happened the week before, and what will be coming soon.

------------------------------------------------ Last Week --------------------------------------------
As you might have noticed, I haven't been active for the past week. That is because I've been studying for an exam, and now that my exam is done and gone, I GET TO READ MY BOOKS.

----------------------------------------------- This Week --------------------------------------------

I'm currently reading Sing You Home by Jodi Picoult. I'm going to update on the book every time I feel like it before I post the whole review, that way I'll remember how I felt and I won't have to go back to the book and stuff.

Anyways, reading that, and I also ordered City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare, Insurgent and Divergent by Veronica Roth, because I don't just want the second book. (Divergent review here

I also received Focused, by Julie B. Cosgrove. It's a religious book, and I'm an athiest but I"ll read it anyways.

I just won a book called Oak Island Revenge by Cynthia D'Entremont from
Goodreads as well.

FINALLY, yesterday, I bought Fearless - Sam - Run by Francine Pascal. That's it !! Thanks for reading :D It's a combination of the first 3 books.

Oh right, that's not it. I have a loooot of books on my to-read list. I'll post it up later.

Happy Mother's Day !!

Just wanted to say Happy Mother's Day to all those great mothers out there. Thanks for everything you've done for us, and everything you continue to do, even if we seem like ungrateful children sometimes, we love you. ahaha.

May 05, 2012

Sorry, but I won't be reading this week at all. I have to study for this huge history exam I have coming up, and I have quite a bit of schoolwork to do as well. I'M SO SORRY.

Don't worry guys, I'm suffering as well... City of Lost Souls just came out, Insurgent too, and then Bitterblue. I still have to read Sing You Home as well. DON'T WORRY, IT'S JUST A WEEK, PLENTY OF REVIEWS COMING SOON !! :D

Die For Me by Amy Plum

Chapters/Indigo Summary:

My life had always been blissfully, wonderfully normal. But it only took one moment to change everything.
Suddenly, my sister, Georgia, and I were orphans. We put our lives into storage and moved to Paris to live with my grandparents. And I knew my shattered heart, my shattered life, would never feel normal again. Then I met Vincent.
Mysterious, sexy, and unnervingly charming, Vincent Delacroix appeared out of nowhere and swept me off my feet. Just like that, I was in danger of losing my heart all over again. But I was ready to let it happen.
Of course, nothing is ever that easy. Because Vincent is no normal human. He has a terrifying destiny, one that puts his life at risk every day. He also has enemies . . . immortal, murderous enemies who are determined to destroy him and all of his kind.
While I'm fighting to piece together the remnants of my life, can I risk putting my heart as well as my life and my family's in jeopardy for a chance at love?
